Congratulations to Scotie Conner, 2011 Recipient

At Casady’s Boys Awards Banquet Scotie Conner was presented as the 2011 Recipient of the Black Mesa Scholarship.  Scotie, an Eagle Scout who had interned at the Oklahoma Center for nonprofits, will be attending Georgetown in the fall, where he will study at the McDonough school of business.

Congratulations to Scotie and thank you to all of this year’s applicants.  It was a very strong pool and we believe that speaks to the interest in commerce and entrepreneurship in Oklahoma City.

Goodbye, iWeb

When we first agreed on the name Black Mesa Foundation and purchased the blackmesafoundation.org URL in 2007 we hosted the site using iWeb based on a trusty Mac.  It’s time for us to move on to a new platform, and as you can tell we’ve decided to move to WordPress.

We wrapped up four years with 1,455 visits to the old site.  The new configuration will allow us more flexibility in who is able to update our site, what we are able to update it with and how others can comment to it.

As always, thank you for your support and we appreciate your feedback.
